RARAMA WASHED RIND

Our Kāpiti Rarama is a golden washed-rind cheese, soft and creamy with a mild, earthy flavour. It is soft and smooth when young and extremely creamy and aromatic when mature. Rarama means to gleam, glimmer or glow in te reo Māori, and refers to the golden tones on the rind of this decadently creamy cheese. 

The earthy flavours of Rarama are a perfect match for the sweet and sour taste of fresh pomegranate seeds or quince paste. Try it for an incredible mouth-watering flavour combination.

Best Served At
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.
Best Stored at 4 °
After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
